Atlantis Resort Paradise Island, Bahamas
Want to plan a trip to Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas? Of course you do!
You can’t go wrong with a trip to Atlantis on Paradise Island, Bahamas. The great news is that there are so many different hotel options on the Atlantis resort that it is possible to find the right fit for your budget and needs.
We have been fortunate enough to visit Atlantis, twice, and had such a great time with and learned so many tips and tricks. Hopefully we will be able to return again.
A bit about Atlantis. The Atlantis property is huge!
In fact, it is comprised of 5 hotels, an epic water park, 11 pools, dolphin and other sea life habitats, exhibits, encounters, and other fun activities….and if that is not enough…the gorgeous blue waters and the warm sand beaches can’t be beat!
Starting from the most affordable, to the most expensive, here is a brief review of the on property hotel options:
The Beach
This hotel is great for families and is the best value, and closest to the beach (hence the name). Be prepared to walk (or take the property shuttles) to the water park, fitness center, spa and dolphin encounter.
However, there are many shops, restaurants and amenities located in the hotel, such as the arcade, and the pottery studio.
The Coral
Newly renovated rooms, balconies and room sizes and accommodations to meet the needs of families.
One of the adult nightclubs and the teen nightclub are located in The Coral. As well as being in close proximity to the casino, marina and shops.
The Royal
This is the iconic hotel that most people associate with Atlantis.
It has spacious rooms and suites with different view options (in my experience, the majority of the rooms only have terraces).
The casino, fitness center, spa, shops, water park, and dolphin encounter are just steps away. This is the hotel that we have stayed in during our two visits to Atlantis…..it really is in the middle of it all!
The Reef
Depending on the room type, there are great amenities for families such as kitchens or kitchenettes, living areas and balconies.
There is a beach nearby, pools, and a Starbucks onsite. While it is great for families, it does seem a bit far removed.
However, if we are fortunate enough to return to Atlantis, this is the hotel that we would like to try to stay at to shake things up and see if the experience is the same!
The Cove
Spacious suites with high end amenities and adults-only pool. While families are welcome, this hotel caters to a more adult, sophisticated crowd.
You can’t go wrong with a trip to Atlantis!

Atlantis Tips, Tricks, and Secrets
This place really is huge, and has so much to offer. We have been twice (and hope to go back), and still did not experience all of the amenities and activities, such as:
- The Atlantis Theatre (this is included in the resort fee)
- Gamer’s Reef (arcade)
- Earth and Fire Pottery Studio (paint your own ceramics and/or create glass jewelry and other items)
- Mandara Spa (facials and massages…enough said!)
- Paradise Lagoon (snorkeling and other sea life activities)
Have questions? Let me know below and I’ll be happy to answer based on my experiences!
